What are the workstation requirements for TRACKS?

Minimum Requirements

  • Operating System: Windows 2000 SP2 or higher, Windows XP Professional SP2 or higher, Windows Vista SP1 or higher
  • Processor (CPU): Pentium IV or higher
  • Memory (RAM): 512 MB minimum
  • Disk Space: 200MB minimum for Tracks® program

  • Operating System: Windows 2003 Server SP2, Windows 2003 Server R2 SP2, Windows 2008 Server 
  • Microsoft SQL Server: SQL Server 2005 SP2 - SQL Reporting Services
  • Processor (CPU): Pentium IV or higher, 2GHz minimum for large networks. SQL Server provides enhanced support for multiple processors. It is designed to improve performance of multi-user databases under heavy use. A dedicated server, especially with high user loads should be considered.
  • Memory (RAM): 2GB Minimum - 3GB recommended Disk Space (Database): This is dependent on the size of the collection and how much data is collected. Minimum 4GB for database.
  • Disk Space (Application, Reports, Help Files): 500MB Minimum - This is a network share for the application, reports and help files.
  • Disk Space (Media Storage): Tracks® has the ability to link to stored media (i.e. videos, images, documents, etc.). The files uploaded in the media module are not stored in the database itself, they are stored on a network share and linked in the database. This storage space is only required if you plan on using the media module. The storage space for the media module is dependent on the number of files that will be uploaded and the size of the files.
